"This short stretch of Fremont Street is a trendy stop for shopping and dining, including this sophisticated café that offers a taste of New Orleans. The elegant dining space offers a comforting combination of warm wood and cool linen, a perfect backdrop for the ambitious menu. Seafood is noteworthy here, from the gumbo loaded with shrimp and crawfish to the rich snapping turtle soup. Try the Taste of New Orleans platter loaded with such Big Easy standbys as crawfish etouffée, or the shrimp Acadian sautéed over crab-shrimp-crawfish stuffing, swimming in a tasty smoked tomato beurre blanc. The prices seem elevated for a non-downtown spot, but happy customers don't mind shelling out for professional service and a sumptuous slice of the French Quarter. Bargain diners will appreciate the fixed-price three-course dinner or Monday night's discounted menu. Acadia has a Cajun Lunch 'To Geaux' cart downtown on the corner of SW Sixth and Pine Street."
